Erik Jones and the #43 Richard Petty Motorsports Chevrolet

Since making his first-career NASCAR start in 2013, Jones has been one of the sport’s brightest talents.

In 2015, Jones became the youngest NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) champion at 19-years-old, 5 months and 21 days. That same year, he was also named the series’ Rookie of the Year.  Jones competed full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) in 2016, also claiming the division’s Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award.  He turned the trifecta the following season after being named the NASCAR Cup Series’ Rookie of the Year, becoming the first driver in history to win that honor in all of NASCAR’s top-three national touring series.

He earned his first win on NASCAR’s senior circuit on July 7, 2018 at Daytona International Speedway with an electrifying last-lap pass to take the checkered flag. He backed that victory up a year later by winning the Southern 500 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway – one of the sport’s most historic and daunting races.

In five years of full-time competition at NASCAR’s highest level, Jones has earned two poles, two wins, 34 top-five and 69 top-10 finishes.
